3 Policemen Arrested, DPO Removed Over Driver’s Murder In Anambra
On Wednesday, three policemen were arrested in connection to the murder of a driver by the name of Nonso Uchenwoke at Okpoko Ogbaru Local Government of Anambra State.
The arrest which was made by the Anambra State Police Command also removed the Divisional Police Officer DPO and the Divisional Crime Office DCO from office.
Mr. Hosea Karma, Anambra State Commissioner of Police said this in Awka that the Divisional Police Officer and the Divisional Crime Officer were removed from their office so as to make investigation go on smoothly as regards the case.
Karam said, the three policemen arrested have been taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, adding that if found guilty they must face the full wrath of the law.
According to Hosea Karma, the state commissioner of Police, “We will not shield anyone who have violated the law, anybody who through his conducts commits a crime or veer off from his professional training should be ready to face the music.
The state commissioner of police in condemning the actions of the police officers said “no law says you must not fail to arrest an offender, when they got there and made attempts to arrest the deceased and he resisted arrest they should have retreated because by insisting on the arrest they put his life at risk”.
