36 Soldiers Involved In Ghastly Motor Accident Survived
On Friday, Nigerian military parading on special operations had an auto crash with a vehicle behind them at Gaya, Jahun south of Kano.
The auto crash that left about 36 soldiers severely injured happened enrout Azare in Gaya town that link Maiduguri through Dutse and Jahum.
Speaking with newsmen, an eyewitness by the name Adamu, said the accident happened along Gaya-Jahun federal highways around 7:30 in the morning.
The vehicle carrying the soldiers missed its way and as he was trying to turn he hit another vehicle behind.
He said, the vehicle carrying the soldiers lost control so those in the vehicle came out from different directions.
“We rushed there to help those that were injured, some of the soldier were taken to Gaya General hospital were they are receiving treatment because their injury was very severe.
The Federal Road Safety Corps sector Commander in Kano, Aminu Umar Kakapa said the injured soldier have been taken to the General hospital in Dutse.
According to the statement released by the Aminu Umar Jakapa, the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kano Sector Commander reads “It was a lone road traffic accident which involves military truck with NA1716BO5 registration number carrying 36 soldiers.
