Edo State Election Result Updates – PDP In Early Lead In Edo South & Central
The results from the Edo State gubernatorial election that held yesterday showed that the opposition party People’s Democratic Party PDP is leading in parts of Edo south and Edo central Senatorial Districts.
The Edo Central is the traditional stronghold of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the two leading candidates, Pastor Ize-Iyamu and Godwin Obaseki hail from the same zone, the Edo South zone.
According to result released by INEC from the Edo north, Oredo and Ikpoba Okha in the South zone are in favor of the APC.
In Oredo Ward 2 Unit 2, where the National Chairman of the APC and the former governor of the state an wife of the PDP candidate, PDP won APC by 78 to 69 votes
In Unit 2 at the same voting center, APC won PDP with 102 to 97 votes, also in Oredo Ward 4, unit 19, the AP candidate, Godwin Obaseki got a 160 votes while the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu got 77 votes.
However PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu won in unit 26 in Iguodo Ward 5 of Orhionmwon Local Givernment with a total of 369 votes while APC got 1 vote
In Ward 10 Unit 1 Etsako West Local Government Area, APC got a total vote of 752 while PDP got a total of 2 votes
In Iruekpen Ward 6 Unit 8 of Esan West Local Government Area, PDP got a 168 votes while APC got 120 votes
In Jattu, Etsako West Local Government Area, APC got a 367 votes while PDP got 112 votes
In Fugar Etsako Central PDP scored 308 votes while APC got 214 votes
PDP also won in Unit 9 at Igueben with 139 votes while APC got 52 votes.
