Fire Victims Accuses Ebonyi SEMA Of Materials Diversion
In Ebonyi state, scandals have continued to rock the Ebonyi State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, as top officials of the agency are being accused by victims of a fire disaster in the state for allegedly coveting materials meant for them by the state government.
The victims of the fire disasters said that the officials of the Ebonyi State Emergency management Agency, SEMA have been distributing spoilt and rotten foodstuff to them while they are collecting the good one.
The Executive Secretary, Pastor Oziomaeze Kenneth when contacted said, he ordered the Chibueze Iteshi, the HOD of the Administration in charge of relief and rehabilitation to distribute the materials.
Pastor Oziomaeze Kenneth said, the Ebonyi State Emergency management Agency, SEMA will look into the matters and attributed the fraud to the leadership tussle between him and the Chairman of the agency, Evangelist Ephraim Ononye.
Evangelist Ephraim Ononye, however denied the involvement in the matters and said that he was not aware that the agency distributed relief materials to the victims.
Ononye condemned that allegation and said no materials was diverted, all the materials that was meant for the victims were the ones that got to them and nothing else were taken or added.
