I.G Says Fulani Herdsmen Involved In Enugu Killings Must Be Prosecuted
Fulani herdsmen have stylishly declared war on every Nigerian and are going about killing, and threatening farm owners and chasing villagers away from their community.
After the brutal attack by the Fulani herdsmen in Upabi Nimbo community of Uzo Uwani in Enugu State, the Inspector- General of Police, Solomon Arase, declared that all suspected Fulani herdsmen involved in the brutal killing of the people of Ukpabi Nimbo community will be arrested and will be prosecuted.
The I.G of Police on Wednesday made this declaration after he paid a condolence visit to the community.
In the visit, the I.G of Police said, “No one has be right to take another person life and get away with it, the Nigerian police will ensure that all those involved in the wicked act will be arrested and prosecuted”
He commended on the pro-activeness of the police, he said “if our men have not reacted as quickly as they did may be the damage would have been more devastating”.
Arase said that the presence of the police will increase in the community and in other local government within the state, he thanked the Senator representing the Enugu-North Senatorial District for giving him the information as regards the situation
The I.G of Police condoled the families of those who lost their loved ones and sympathizes with those that are seriously injured, he assured them that the perpetrators would be brought to book and the reason he came was to find a lasting solution to the problem.
