Nigerian Troops Kill 16 Boko Haram Terrorists
On Saturday, the Nigerian Army released a statement that the troops at Rann in Kala local government area in Borno state killed 16 Boko Haram terrorists.
According to the statement released by the Nigeria Army, the troops located at Rann in Kala local government area of Borno state was attacked by remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists in the region, the terrorists invaded Rann with Improvised Explosive Devices, IED, Motorcycles and Anti-Aircraft Guns, there was a serious exchange of fire that lasted for some hours before they were finally overpowered by the Nigeria troops.
The statement reads, “Unfortunately, one of the Boko Haram suicide bombers blew-up himself at the truck thereby killing the driver and the gunner at the truck”
“The truck was badly damaged, the Nigerian troops killed 7 Boko Haram terrorists in the process while lots of others escaped with bullet wound”
“While clearing the scene of the accident, the troops discovered 9 more dead bodies of the Boko Haram terrorists making the total number of 16 Boko Haram terrorists killed”
“The troops ave taken the bodies of the dead soldiers to the capital city, reinforcement was sent to join the troops in Gomboru Ngala”
“The Nigerian troops recovered a Rocket Propelled Grenade, ammunition General Purpose Machine Gun.”
