President Buhari Says Biafra Agitators & Niger Delta Militants Never Witnessed Civil War
On Tuesday, the president of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari said that those behind , the Indigenous People of Biafra and the Niger Delta Avengers were not in Nigeria to witness the chaos and calamity the befell the country during the civil war.
He said during the civil war that befell the country between 1967 to 1970 claimed over two million lives nd its very important for Nigerians to reflect on the historical antecedents so a to appreciate the peace that is happening now in the country.
President Buhari together with the Federal Executive Council during the the breaking of fast at the Presidential Villa Hall in Aso Rock, urged the people to be more steadfast in praying to God for a better country. He said the country Nigeria needs prayers more than ever before due to the economic and security challenges that has befallen the country.
He addressed the Indigenous people of Biafra and the Niger Delta Avengers and those behind them, He said they should not forget the calamity that befell the country between the 1967 to 1970 civil war where over two million lives were lost.
He said this are the moments we need to pray for Nigeria more that what we have ever done, the economy of the country is gong down and we have not yet developed agriculture and we have not yet spoken to those that can develop the solid minerals that we have.
He said, the Month of Ramadan is a very special time with God, “it gives leaders the opportunity to pray to God about their leadership and their responsibility to govern the people” he said.
