Senate Supports U-23 Against Brazil

On Wednesday, Senator Obinna Ogba, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth an Sports paid a surprise visit to the training session Super Eagles at the National Stadium in Abuja.

On Thursday next week, the U-23 team are preparing to face the Brazil Olympic team in Brazil, the former member of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF Executive Committee said he wanted to see how the team is preparing for the match against the Brazil Olympic side next week.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth and Sports said, ” I want all of you to know that it is a great privilege to represent this country Nigeria and you must not disappoint us, In Nigeria, the only language we understand is winning although in the game of sports it is not possible to win all the time”

Senator Obinna while assuring the players, he said that Nigerians appreciate good effort when they see it and that is why when you go up there you must give your 100%, nothing less and we in the Senate will ensure the Government provides all that is needed so we can move forward as a footballing nation.

Senator Obinna Ogba is also Chairman of the Ebonyi State Football Association. The Senator showered praises on the present NFF administration most especially the chairman if the NFF Amaju Pinnick, in his words, the NFF is doing well as we owe that to the leader of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF and that is the person of Amaju Pinnick.
