Soldiers Invaded IPOB Meeting, killed 5, Injured 20

On Sunday, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB claimed that some group of soldiers invaded their venue and killed five persons where thy were having a meeting at about 5.30pm at Okwe Primary School, Oshimili North Local Government Area in Delta State.

According to the Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr Emma Powerful, “The Hausa-Fulani people living in Okwe had sent word to some to their brothers in the military that the IPOB members are having a meeting in Okwe Primary School and they came and opened fire thereby killing five of our members for no reason.

Mr Powerful said, “This is another massacre of our members, does this mean we do not have freedom to meet and discuss within ourselves? What do they have against us, will they say we are demonstrating”?

“If we are planning a bad thing would it be in an open school compound? it would have been in a place where no one can access and not in an open filed”.

“We will not accept this, we must find out the Hausa-Fulani people that gave this information to their military brothers”

He said its time they pay with their own blood, “we have said that no one should provoke us, we have said no one should carry arms but we have to defend ourselves”
