Troops Kill 4 Boko Haram Terrorists & 7 Cattle Thieves

On Wednesday, during a gun fight that lasted for about 15 minutes, the Nigerians troops killed four Boko Haram terrorists, this gun fight took place in Jororo and Jombaeji villages in Giedam Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Also in Zamfara State, troops of the 223 Battalion killed seven cattle rustlers.

The troops got an information that remnant of Boko Haram terrorists were around Jororo and Tombaeji villages, the troops followed the information by sending a patrol team to the location.

According Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the Acting Director, Army Public Relations said, the troops came in contact with the Boko Haram terrorists around Gajire village, the gun fight lasted for about 15 minutes, they were overpowered and we succeeded in killing four of their members and we captured one.

He said they were able to recover some arms and ammunition form them.

They recovered 2 General Purpose Machine Guns, GMPG, 2 KASEA branded motorcycles, 2 AK-47 rifles and 144 rounds of 7.62mm, a special ammunition recovered form the terrorists.

Also in Zamfara State, troops raid and attacked suspected livestock rustlers and armed bandits camps, during the attack, the troops recovered large quantity of ammunition and a pair of military camouflage uniforms

This raid on suspected livestock rustlers camp happened at Dumburum forest, Zurmi Local Government in the state.
