Wife Of APC Chieftain In Ekiti Kidnapped

Some unidentified gunmen kidnapped the wife of Mr Ajibola Oyedele, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ekiti State.

According to source, the wife of Ajibola Oyedele was kidnapped on Friday at about 8:30 in the evening at Omuo Oke community in Ekiti East Local Government Area of the state.

All attempts trying to reach Oyedele failed as his phone was switched off but he made a post on social media that his wife surrendered to the hoodlums at gunpoint.

The post on social media says, “At gunpoint, my wife surrendered the key to our Nissan Ultimate to the kidnappers and they took her away to an unknown destination and since then we have not been able to communicate with her, all her lines are switched off”

Ajibola who later spoke with the kidnappers on phone yesterday said, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N40 million and we was able to speak with his wife at about 5:45 on Saturday evening since she was kidnapped, adding that the kidnappers claimed that he was their main target.

The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, Alberto Adeyemi who confirmed the development said, investigations were already on to ensure that the culprits are caught and the victim returns safe to her husband.
